We provide independent and confidential advice, rooted in market intelligence and over two decades of experience.
Simon Oldfield Art Associates is a London-based arts and culture advisory firm that provides independent, confidential, and transparent advice, rooted in market intelligence and over two decades of experience. Known for our personable approach and high standards, we are privileged to enjoy the enduring trust of longstanding clients across the globe.
Our services span three key areas. We provide expert art advisory, assisting both new and established collectors in building outstanding and meaningful collections. Drawing on our extensive international network, we guide clients through the entire life cycle of a collection, from initial acquisition to long-term strategic development. Our expertise is sought by private individuals, institutions, and family offices across the globe. We provide bespoke advice to ensure each collection is not only of significant cultural value, but a true reflection of the collector's unique vision.
In the area of curation, we conceive and deliver ambitious projects and exhibitions in collaboration with leading cultural partners, including institutions like the Royal Academy of Arts, and global brands such as Burberry and LVMH. Our curatorial work is known for bringing together major and emerging artists to create dialogues, and we also bring together multi-generational and cross-disciplinary talent, in collaboration with Pin Drop to combine art and literature. Drawing on the legacy of Simon Oldfield’s former eponymous gallery, we also advise on major cultural place-making projects for clients, including Grosvenor Estate and, most recently, Wolterton Hall in Norfolk.
Furthermore, we offer specialised art law advice at the intersection of art and commerce. We provide strategic legal and commercial consultancy to all participants in the art market, including major art businesses, institutions, artists, and collectors. We are adept problem-solvers, offering astute advice and pragmatic solutions.
Our distinct approach is rooted in the unique expertise of its founder, Simon Oldfield. With a professional background that seamlessly blends art advisory, curation, and law, Simon is at the helm of a highly experienced and dedicated team. This collective knowledge ensures that Simon Oldfield Art Associates is exceptionally well-equipped to guide clients through the complexities of the art world.
At Simon Oldfield Art Associates, we are proud to enjoy the enduring trust of our longstanding clients, helping them navigate the art world with confidence and creativity.
